Using the level is easy: simply mount the Scope Jack to your rifle's NATO or Pic rail, under your scope. Turn the Scope Jack drive handle (the Scope Jack works with any 1 4" driver) until the lifting arm engages with the flat section of the scope under its turrets. Once the scope is level, maintain pressure to keep scope level while tightening your ring
