The included bushings are to be placed over the dowel pins, the longer mounting bolts go through the bushings and pin the bell to the block. You can eliminate the bushing if you are willing to machine the factory dowel pins down. QuickTime cones are spun, not rolled or stamped. This allows Quick Time Bellhousings to be the most dimensionally stable Bellhousings available
